Patrischa Morena, MA Studentin der Lateinamerika-Studien an der Uni Hamburg, präsentiert eine deutsche und brasilianische Perspektive über schwarzen Feminismus, ihre Merkmale und Herausforderungen.
Referenzen hierfür sind u.A. die Persönlichkeiten Kimberlé Crenshaw, Leila Gonzalez, Djamila Ribeiro, Sueli Carneiro und Natasha A. Kelly. Auch persönliche Reflektionen über ihre Erfahrungen als schwarze Frau, die binationale und soziale Erfahrungen macht, werden in diesem Vortrag mit einfließen.

"Ousa collective - intersectional feminism illustration workshop" am 13.08.2022, 14:00 - 17:00 Uhr in der Schoko
Illustration als Akt für mehr Empowerment, Repräsentation und Teilhabe.
Mit Hilfe von Kreativitätstechniken und dem Medium der Illustration stärken wir das Zugehörigkeits-gefühl der Teilnehmer*innen untereinander in einem diskriminierungsfreien Raum. Hier können sich die Teilnehmer*innen begegnen und austauschen. In kreativen Aktionen werden sie ermutigt, ihre Erfahrungen und Lebensrealitäten kreativ zu verhandeln, um ggfs. gemeinsam neue, selbstermächtigende Narrativen zu schaffen.
Es werden keine Vorkenntnisse benötigt!

For all girls, woman, trans, non- binary and others we‘d like to introduce the work of Zaira Pampin, visual artist and activist. She creates images and projects based on documentary material, combining social activism with artistic statements that explore interactive practices. Artistic iniciative that explores the construction of psychological through sensitive activities and feministic normativity.
Zaira is going to talk about her work, she has also created these workshops where is to explore the phenomenon of care work. Thee goal is to examine how questions of nationhood and the “civil society” impact on the very nature and constitutive elements of women’s marginalization in an era of increasing globalization and advanced modernization. Of particular significance within this tradition is the study of the ambivalent manifestation of gender and male domination in nationalist and political rhetoric, in particular, those discourses which persistently function to marginalize women*
“We cultural workers should create art that is drawn from everyday life and made up of the material od human relationships. To a large extent, we do this for the sake of our own mental survival, so we won't be overwhelmed by a sense of doom that we can't do anything about.” - she said.

Wie erkennst du feministische Praktiken, die nicht unbedingt als solche markiert werden? Was zählt als feministisch und was nicht?
In diesem Vortrag wollen wir einen etwas anderen Blick auf feministisches Handeln werfen. In Anlehnung an Cathy Cohen's wichtige Kritik des US-Amerikanischen queeren Aktivismus, setzen wir uns in einem kurzen Input und längeren interaktiven Teil mit einer kritischen Betrachtung von Feminismus auseinander, um gemeinsam zu erkunden, welche Potenziale und Transformationen hinter einer Anerkennung von Feminismen in ihrer Pluralität stehen.
Dome Ravina Olivo setzt sich für eine Komplexitäten und Ambivalenzen aushaltende politische Analyse und Praxis ein.
Außerdem ist Dome Diversity Trainerin, M.A Absolventin der Gender Studies und Sozialwissenschaftler*in.

Emma, a Chinese feminist activist, has been involved in Chinese feminist movement for ten years.
Over the past decade, young women, as an awakened generation, have become the main force of Chinese feminist movement, using creative actions and policy and legal advocacy to raise their voices of resistance. Leveraging the Internet, young women have spread feminist ideas, built alliances, and organized social activities.
However, according to a survey by the World Economic Forum, China ranks 107th in the world in terms of gender equality. In spite of the difficulties and challenges, the feminist movement has shown an unprecedented potential.
How did Chinese feminist movement become so strong and energetic?

HONG KONG AND ITS FIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY: CHUNG CHING KWONG ABOUT HER EXPERIENCES OF BEING A PRO-DEMOCRATIC ACTIVIST, 06.04 2022, 20:00
Chung Ching Kwong is a political and digital rights activist from Hong Kong. She has been active in politics since 15. Previously, she was the spokesperson of Keyboard Frontline, an organization dedicated to monitoring censorship and digital rights, and a columnist at Apple Daily. Now pursuing her Ph.D in Law focusing on data protection at the University of Hamburg, she is currently a columnist for Welt am Sonntag in Germany and one of the founders of the HK diasporic magazine The Flow. She is also living in self-imposed exile due to her advocacy work for Hong Kong.
As a young female activist fighting for the freedom and democracy in Hong Kong, Chung Ching Kwong faces specific challenges and opportunities throughout her years in activism. She would share her experience as a young Hong Kong woman living in exile and sharing the story of herself in relation to Hong Kong and why Europe should care.
