German and integration courses
A German and integration course takes place in the drop-in meeting place on four mornings each week. It is free of charge and has a capacity of 12 to 16 women. The course has no prerequisites with respect to participants’ previous schooling.
The drop-in meeting place is a women-only space. The special situation makes it possible to focus on each individual woman and her specific instruction needs.
The comprehensive support encompasses not only German instruction but also basic knowledge in various areas that are helpful for starting a career, etc.
Cultural and recreational activities regularly take place within the scope of the course.
Social consultation is also offered as a supplement to the course.
The goals and focus of the German course are:
Free speaking skills
Good reading comprehension
Basics in grammar and spelling
Being able to write one’s own texts and biographical statements
as well as:
arithmetic and math
natural sciences, data processing skills
women’s role and status in society
history, politics, and culture
